Doyle, Paul Joseph, 71, Munster Twp., passed away September 28, 2020 at UPMC Altoona. Born March 2, 1949, Lilly, son of the late Catherine “Vera” (Hershel) Doyle. Preceded in death by his brother, Robert. Survived by his loving wife, Mary C. (Carnes), whom he married on August 30, 1975 and just celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary; daughter, Missy Diehl, Huntingdon; sons, Tim (Mariane) Doyle, Santa Clarita, CA; Mark (Bri) Doyle, Mineral Point; Pete (Katelyn) Doyle, Falling Waters, WV; 5 grandchildren, Kayla Cully; Morgan, Alivia, Brady and Preston Doyle; sisters, Linda (Pete) Wheeler; Kathy (Russ) Proudfit; Mary Lou (Jerry) Behe; Margie Stercho; and Toni Doyle; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Paul was a Sergeant in the US Army and served during the Vietnam War. He retired from Norfolk Southern. Paul was a member of the Lilly American Legion Post 628 and the former Lilly VFW. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and was an avid sports fan. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Friends and family will be received Friday, October 2, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 233 Keystone Ave., Cresson, where a funeral service will be held Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 11 a.m., Pastor Gary Shingler, officiant. Military honors provided by the Lilly American Legion. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV.org) or to the ASPCA (ASPCA.org).
