Winfree, Nora Marie (Secrest), 81, Mount Union, passed away January 9, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. Born August 25, 1938, Mount Union, daughter of the late Jackson L. and Bessie “Flo” (Arnold) Secrest. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Luther F. Winfree Sr.; brothers, Gary Arnold; Charles “Buckwheat” Secrest; and Rodney Secrest; sisters, Rosa Yocum and Jackie Moist. Survived by children, Carmella and Chip Lovett, Huntingdon; Kersey Winfree and Donna Ragozzino, Oklahoma City; Luther F. Winfree Jr., Lewistown; Kelli and Michael Troiani, Media; and Steve Moist, Mount Union; 9 grandchildren, Walter Winfree; William Winfree; Addison Lovett; Adrian “Yogi” Lovett; Mia Winfree; Gabriella Troiani; Issac Winfree; Conner Winfree and Noah Ragozzino and 1 great-grandchild, Ella Lovett. Surviving siblings, Richard “Dickie” Secrest; Rexall Secrest; and sister, Bonnie Wiley. Although Nora had many friends, she is survived by special friends who were always there to help, Jana Winfree; Luann Mansberger; Sylvia Morris; caregivers, Tammy McClure and Lori Williams.  Her beloved dog, Selena, will also be at a loss.  Nora was a 1956 graduate of Captain Jack High School; 1970 graduate of Lewistown Vocational Technical School, practical nursing; and a 1991 graduate from South Hills Business School. Nora used her nursing and business skills throughout her professional life, working at various hospitals as a nurse’s aide, worked with the GPS Group Home of Huntingdon for Raystown Developmental Services, served as a delegate for Juniata Tri-County mental health and served as the Executive Director for the American Red Cross Mount Union Chapter. Nora enjoyed serving and helping the citizens of her community. She was involved with New Choices, Human Service Council and Raystown Democratic Club. Nora also enjoyed spending time with family, reading and watching all sports. Friends and family will be received Monday, January 13, 2020 from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home, Pastor Sylvia Morris, officiant. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Family Hospice & Palliative Care, 9492 William Penn Hwy #1, Huntingdon, PA 16652.
