Chilcote, Nancy Gail (Gearhart), 80, Mount Union, passed away unexpectedly November 4, 2019 at UPMC Altoona. Born October 7, 1939, Mount Union, daughter of the late Melvin C. Henry and Sara “Sally” Gearhart. Preceded in death by son, Rodney Chilcote; sisters, Donna McElrath and Sharon Welch; brothers, Lewis “Butch” Gearhart and Thomas Henry; and step-mother, Dorothy Henry. Survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Johnnie Boyd Chilcote; children, Steven Chilcote; Carol Dannel and husband, John; Michael Chilcote and wife, Aurora, all of Mount Union; Barbara Bolinger and husband, Denny, Hares Valley; Penny Huntsman and husband, Jim, Shirleysburg; and Jason Chilcote and wife, Dana, Robertsdale; 16 grandchildren, Stephanie, Brenda, Kira, Cody, Erica, Christina, Chayton, Garret, Tricia, Jonathan, Shane, Lindsay, Tara, Stephanie, Mikie and Aspen; 31 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Lannie Simard, British Columbia; and sisters, Joanne Hicks, Dianna Snyder and Ruth “Penny” Homolash. Nancy was affectionally known and loved by her neighborhood children and always treated them as if they were one of her children or grandchildren. She enjoyed sending cards to her friends, but most recently enjoyed socializing on Facebook and sending her friends a delightful message. Nancy loved flowers, hummingbirds, vacationing with her family and spending time with her beloved dog, Cubby, whom she spoiled with ice cream. Friends and family will be received Friday, November 8, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, Pastor Bill Benson, officiant. Interment Germany Valley Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
