Welch, Mark A., 52, Huntingdon, passed away unexpectedly April 11, 2020 due to a motor vehicle accident. Born December 1, 1967, Huntingdon, son of Benjamin A. and Sharon E. (Henry) Welch, Sr. Preceded in death by his mother. Survived by father; sons, Bradley A. (Amber Cohenour) Welch, Port Royal; Matthew R. Welch, Marysville; Andrew M. Welch, West Chester; two grandchildren, Jensen and Haizley Welch; brother, Benjamin Welch, Jr., Mount Union; step-daughter, Caitlynn Fonseca, Williamsburg; fiancé, Diana Wentz, Huntingdon; her sons, Jeffrey Wentz and wife, Mackenzie, Todd; Curtis Wentz, Morgantown, WV; and her grandson, Bronson Wentz. Mark was a graduate of Mount Union High School and the Huntingdon County Area Vocational Technical School. After graduation Mark served our country in the US Army during Operation Desert Storm, earning the rank of Sergeant. He then worked for SCI Huntingdon and recently retired with over 29 years of service. Mark was a member of the Huntingdon Elks Lodge 976 and a lifetime member of the Mount Union VFW Post 5754. He enjoyed boating, ATV rides, hanging out with friends, coaching baseball, cooking, dirt track racing and hunting with his dog, Ryah. Due to the recent unprecedented restrictions placed on funeral homes for conducting visitations and funerals, the family has elected to hold a drive through visitation on Thursday, April 16, 2020 from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home for those wishing to pay their respects to honor Mark’s memory. A memorial service will be held at a later date once the COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
