Yakymac, Katherine A., 83, Huntingdon, formerly of Mount Union, passed away November 21, 2020 at AristaCare at Huntingdon. Born December 27, 1936, Mount Union, daughter of the late, John W. and Stella (Parascak) Stasko. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Yakymac. Survived by children, Paul Yakymac and wife, Stacy, Altoona; Cynthia Yakymac-Kline and husband, David, Harrisburg; Jonathan Yakymac and wife, Danette, Mount Union; and Christopher Yakymac and wife, April, Mount Union; 11 grandchildren, Jakob, Nicolette, Michael and wife Danielle, Austin, Logan, Evan, Anthony, Ethan, Katelynn, C.J., and Mia; 3 great-grandchildren, Collin, Oaklan, Karsyn; sister, Theresa Wilson and husband, Fred, Huntingdon; and sister-in-law, Anna Holesa, Mount Union. Katherine was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, where she was also a former member of the Catholic Daughters. She was a 1955 graduate of Captain Jack High School. Katherine worked in management at the A&P Store and LF Widmans. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, flowers, and growing vegetables to show at county fairs. Most importantly she loved to spend time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Friends and family will be received on Monday November 30, 2020 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass being celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Mount Union, Fr. Joseph Fleming, celebrant. Interment at St. Catherine Cemetery, Shirleysburg. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 203 W. Market St., Mount Union, PA  17066. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, people attending are asked to wear a mask and abide by social distancing guidelines. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
