Woods, John Robert, 82, Newton Hamilton, passed away November 22, 2020 at his residence. Born April 3, 1938, Lewistown, son of the late Paul Woods, Sr. and Beulah (Hamilton) Woods. Preceded in death by brothers, James Woods and Gary Woods.  Survived by loving wife of 63 years, Una N. (Armstrong) Woods; Children, Bonnie Melnyk and husband, Mike, Mount Union; Randy Woods and wife, Karen, Fort Myers, FL.; Kevin Woods and wife, Trudy, Shirleysburg; Paula Varner and husband, Kenny, Mount Union; Darwin Woods and wife, Naomi, McVeytown; Siblings, Paul Woods, Jr., Allenport and Priscella Bradnick, Bristol. A 1957 graduate of Captain Jack High School, John worked at Robin Footwear and dedicated 32 years to U.S. Silica before his retirement. John was also an active member of the Pennsylvania National Guard. He was known as a man of all trades, enjoying activities such as birdwatching, woodworking, and drawing. Most importantly, John cherished his time with loved ones. Friends will be received at Heath-Anderson Funeral Home, Mount Union, on Friday, November 27, 2020 from 11:00 am-12:00 noon, graveside service to follow, Joe Barrett, officiant, Mount Union Cemetery. Those in attendance are kindly asked to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
