McMullen, James W., 81, McVeytown, passed away February 27, 2021 at UPMC Altoona. Born October 22, 1939, son of the late Jimison and Margaret (Zitsch) McMullen. Survived by loving wife of 59 years, Sandra K. (Uttley) McMullen; children, Deborah Parks and husband, John; Terry McMullen and wife, Lisa; and James D. McMullen and wife, Nikki; grandchildren, Terra Goss, Aubrey Smith, Kelsay Morningstar, Aiden McMullen, and Robert McMullen; siblings, Mary Ansell, John McMullen, Marvin McMullen, Charles McMullen, Ellen Hockenberry, Joyce Middaugh, and Larry McMullen; and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by siblings, William McMullen, Patricia Beckenbaugh, and Dorisetta Hockenberry.  James spent his career at US Silica and loved hunting, fishing, and metal detecting. A member of the American Legion Post 107, James also served as Vice President of the Sons of the American Legion. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with loved ones and cherished his time with his grandchildren. Friends and family will be received for a visitation at Heath-Anderson Funeral Home on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 10:00 - 12:00 noon, service to follow, Pastor Rob Hill, officiant. Interment to follow at Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
