Cullen, Frederick Clair, 80, Mount Union, passed away May 21, 2020 surrounded by his family at UPMC Altoona. Born September 8, 1939, Allenport, son of the late Thomas K. and Ruth Pauline (Henry) Cullen. Preceded in death by brother, Patrick Cullen. Survived by his longtime companion, Helen Holesa; children, Sean Cullen and wife, Nichole, Hummelstown; Shannon Cullen, Harrisburg; two grandchildren, Aubrey and Brady Cullen; and brother, Donald “Sonny” Cullen. Fred retired from Letterkenny Army Depot where he worked in finance and accounting. He was an avid sports fan and was particularly fond of Penn State and Pittsburgh athletics. Fred was a member and regular patron of the Simpson Hunt American Legion Post 107 in Mount Union. He loved his cars and filling his closet with clothing and shoes. Fred served his country in the United States Army. Due to the recent restrictions placed on funeral homes for conducting visitations and funerals, the family has elected to hold a drive through visitation on Tuesday May 26, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for those wishing to pay their respects to honor Frederick’s memory. A private interment will follow at Haven Rest Memorial Cemetery, Joseph Barrett, officiant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Simpson Hunt American Legion Post 107, 135 E Pennsylvania Ave, Mt Union, PA 17066. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
