Sweeney, Doris L., 88, Lilly, went home to be with the Lord November 12, 2020 at her home. Born October 23, 1932, Lilly, daughter of the late Gerald “Ted” and Rose (Booterbaugh) Bradley, Sr. Preceded in death by her husband, Ronald J. Sweeney; daughter, Linda Selip; son, Jeffrey Sweeney; siblings, Mary Rumery, Michael Bradley, Rose Ruffley, Gerald “Sleepy” Bradley Jr., Joanne Tremel, Annette Bradley, Patricia Dunmeyer; and son-in-law, George “Babe” Selip. Survived by her children, Ronald Sweeney, Jr. and wife Linda; Kathleen Sheehan and husband Rick; Karen James and husband Rick; Colleen Sweeney and special friend Beth Callisto; Tracey Smith and husband Jeff; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer Schilling and husband Scott; Shannon Klimek and husband Randy; Stephen Sweeney; Erica Willinsky and husband Ryan; Michael Sheehan and significant other Amanda; Christopher Sheehan; Marcus Sheehan; Molly James; Lauren Smith; Luke Sweeney and fiancée Alexis; and Matthew Smith; 6 great-grandchildren, Ethan, Anna, Iris, Dane, Carson and Nevaeh; and brother, James Bradley and wife Hope. Doris member of Our Lady of the Alleghenies and was a 1950 graduate of Lilly Senior High School. She was the tax collector for Lilly Borough and was also a seamstress. Doris enjoyed playing Bingo, cards and doing puzzles. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family. The family would like to thank Tiffany and Marie nurses from Windber Hospice for their exceptional care for mom. At the family’s request, viewing and Mass will be private, Rev. Matthew Reese celebrant. Burial St. Brigid Cemetery, Lilly.
