Dunmire, Cecil E., 79, Three Springs, passed away June 11, 2020 at AristaCare at Woodland Park, Orbisonia. Born July 5, 1940, Ryde, son of the late Wilson O. and Mildred A. (Moist) Dunmire. Preceded in death by his wife, Anna Marie (White) Dunmire; grandson; brother, Jason Dumire; 2 sister-in-laws, Janet and Bobbie; brother-in-law, Chauncey J. McGarvey. Survived by 4 step-children, Gerald W. White and wife Ann; James E. White and wife Luann, all of Mount Union; Cynthia A. Gahagan and husband Tom, Three Springs; Lonya C. Semple and husband Kenneth, Shirleysburg; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ray Dunmire and wife Betty; Bill Dunmire; Carl Dunmire and wife, Barb, McVeytown; Glenn Dunmire and wife, Ruth, Lewistown; sister-in-law, Polly McGarvey, Chambersburg; and 14 nieces and nephews. Mr. Dunmire was of the Methodist faith. He was a graduate of Rothrock High School. He was employed by Harbison Walker Refractories; Faylor Middle Creek Sand Quarry; C.M. Fisher Sale Barn; Asplundh & Hazelet Tree Trimming Company and drove truck for various trucking companies throughout his life. Mr. Dunmire loved quilting and enjoyed puzzles and word search books. His pride and joy was his puppy, Sam. Due to the recent restrictions placed on funeral homes for conducting visitations and funerals, the family has elected to hold a drive through visitation on Wednesday June 17, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for those wishing to pay their respects to honor Cecil’s memory. An interment will follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Jim Hullihen, officiant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Huntingdon County Humane Society, 11371 School House Hollow Rd, Huntingdon, PA 16652. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
