Cathy A. Alesi

 Cathy A. Alesi, 69, Mount Union entered eternal rest December 8, 2020 at UPMC Altoona. Her death was unexpected. Born June 21, 1951, Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late John E. and Irma L. (Allison) Moist. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Wyatt Alesi, and a brother, John “Eddie” Moist. Cathy leaves behind her husband of 52 years, John L. Alesi; children, Anthony Alesi and wife, Alison, Mount Union; Troy Alesi and wife, Christine, State College; grandchildren, Alyxandra Alesi, Mapleton; Sadie, Vincent, and Dominic Alesi, Mount Union; Madison Alesi, State College; Siblings, Terri Miller and husband, Dennis, Lewistown; Karen Knable and companion, John Yocum, Mount Union; Michael Moist, McVeytown; Lisa Harris and husband, Kevin, Kistler; and Lori Stidfole and husband, William, McVeytown. Cathy attended Mount Union Area High School. She spent most of her years as a homemaker and was employed at the former UniMart in Mount Union and the Giant Food Store, Huntingdon. Cathy enjoyed cooking for her friends and family, playing Yahtzee with her husband and caring for her kitties. A private viewing will be held for the family followed by a public funeral service at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, on Monday December 14, 2020 at 12 noon, Tim Goodman, officiant.
