Runk, Boyd Warren, 87, Mount Union, died July 15, 2020 at Bob Fryer & Family Inpatient Center, Manheim. Born July 4, 1933, Shirley Township, son of the late David W. and Naomi (Newman) Runk. Preceeded in death by siblings, Edwin Runk, Hayden Runk, Kenneth Runk, Max Runk, Sheldon Runk, Wayne Runk, Thelma Runk, Iona (Runk) Hooper, Vera (Runk) Ranck and Eva (Runk) Morgan. Survived by his loving wife, Phyllis (Kauffman) Runk, with whom he spent 65 years joined in marriage; children, Cindy E. Kidd and husband Roy, Elizabethtown; Boyd “Eddie” Runk and wife Vicki, Mount Joy; grandchildren, Amanda S. McElroy and husband Mitchell, Alabama; Tiffany N. Trough and husband Matthew, Elizabethtown; and Matthew R. Kidd; great-grandchildren, MacKenzie E. McElroy and Michal H. McElroy, both of Alabama; and numerous step-children and step-grandchildren. Boyd spent 49 years as a foreman for the Mount Union Water Department. He was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance, Bricktown Seniors, and lifetime member of the Mount Union Area Alumni Association. Boyd enjoyed hunting, walking, playing Wii Bowling, golf, and doing wordsearches. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 12 p.m. following a viewing, Mount Union Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Rev. Stephen Motter, officiant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Union Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 217 S. Washington St., Mount Union, PA 17066. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 61 E.
