Woodward, Barbara J., 84, Rockhill Furnace, passed away November 23, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. Born April 17, 1936, Rockhill Furnace, daughter late Thomas O. and Sara M. (Grove) Chilcoat. Preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Ronald Woodward on April 21, 2020 and whom she married on June 11, 1955 in Hagerstown Maryland; son-in-law, Albert Denison; and sisters, Winifred Swift, Gwendolyn Ewing, and Sara Jane Taylor. Survived by her children, Deborah L. Denison, Orbisonia; David N. Woodward and wife Michele, Rockhill; Darlene K. Gilliland and husband Daniel, Orbisonia; 9 grandchildren, Staci, Kelly, Jessica, Abigale, Joshua, Madison, Corey, Daniel II, Caleb; 19 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was a 1954 graduate of Orbisonia High School. In her earlier years she worked at J.C. Blair, Grief Manufacturing, and the Stanley Co., most recently she worked for the East Broad Top Railroad as a gift shop clerk. She enjoyed cooking. She was most happy when spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and friends. Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Saturday, November 28, 2020 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m., Pastor Richard Harter officiant. Committal Salem Cemetery, Blairs Mills. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Huntingdon County Humane Society, 11371 School House Hollow Rd, Huntingdon, PA 16652 or to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675 in memory of Barbara. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, people attending are asked to wear a mask and abide by social distancing guidelines.
