Peck, William (Bill) Curtis, 85, Greenbriar Crossover, McVeytown, went home to be with his Lord and Savior at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital Monday, April 28, 2025. Born March 10, 1940, in little Greenbriar, McVeytown. Son of the late Virginia Goldie (Young) and James Russell Peck. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Catherine Rhuhama (Griffith) Peck August 11, 2021. Survived by his 2 daughters, Carol Sipes and husband, Jeff of McVeytown; Janet Shields and husband, Eddie of McVeytown; 2 granddaughters, Chassidy Matthews and husband, Brandon; Christina King and companion, Jason Sollers; 5 great grandchildren, MaKayla, Sage, Easton, Harley, and Curtis; siblings, Joy Carter, Charles Peck and wife, Eilene; Samuel Peck, Darlene Roles and husband Tom; Deb Walter, Timothy Peck and wife, Leona ; and sister in law, Bernice Peck, all of McVeytown. William was also preceded in death by brother, David G. Peck. He graduated from Mount Union Area School District (formerly Captain Jack) class of 1959. William spent most of his career working at the Harbison Walker Refractories Mount Union as well as Standard Steel Inc. of Lewistown. He attended Ferguson Valley Brethren Christ Church, McVeytown. He loved searching for the weekly Bible Trivia questions, enjoyed nature, gardening, cutting wood, mowing, and four wheeling. In his earlier years he enjoyed spending time with his wife hiking. William also enjoyed spending time with friends and family sharing life stories. At the request of William there will be no services and condolences may be sent to the family’s homes.
