William Scott Hess, 67, Cresson, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 21, 2026 at his home. Born October 22, 1958, Clearfield, son of the late William R. and Margaret M. (Franchock) Hess. Survived by his loving wife, Lisa L. (Hartzell) Hess; siblings, Carol (James) Gossar, Joan Southern and Gary (Beth) Hess; father-in-law, Richard Hartzell; brother-in-law, Michael (Wendi) Hartzell; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Leora Hartzell. Scott was an individual of great energy, dedication, and entrepreneurial spirit. He truly loved his work, his life, and above all, his family. As the owner and operator of Jet Pressure Washing, Scott took immense pride in his business, his work ethic, and serving his customers. When he wasn't working, he found his greatest joy in the outdoors and mechanical pursuits, always looking for his next adventure. Whether he was out four-wheeler riding or rock crawling with his Jeep, he embraced the thrill of the rugged terrain. His passion for horsepower extended to a lifelong appreciation for vehicles as an avid car collector. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR races. An outdoorsman at heart, he also enjoyed the quiet patience of hunting. Closer to home, he found great comfort and happiness simply spending time with his beloved pets. He was also a proud and dedicated member of both the Operating Engineers Local 66 and the Laborers' International Union Local 910. He lived life fully, worked with pride, and loved his family fiercely. The world is a little less bright without him, but his memory will be cherished always. Friends and family will be received on Friday, June 26, 2026 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m., Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Pastor Gary Shingler officiant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Keystone Regional Fire & Rescue Dept., 223 Ashcroft Ave Cresson, Pennsylvania 16630.
