Wendell A. Miller Sr.

Miller, Wendell A. Sr. 82, Cedar Crest, passed away surrounded by his family at his home on August 25, 2023. Born October 11, 1940, Huntingdon, son of the late William G. and Violet M. (Gross) Miller. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Lee Miller, granddaughter, Payden and grandson, Corey, brothers, Thomas, Kenyon, and John E. Miller, and infant Sister, Ruth. Survived by son, Wendell A. Miller Jr., daughters, Wendy S. Beatty husband, Kevin; Tanya Miller, grandchildren, Sarah, Dalton, Codey, Casey, Philip, and Madison, great grandchildren, Teagen, Sparrow, Lyrik, Ian, Jace, Rory, and Cydney, and sister, Dorothy Lamberson. Wendell, known as the “Mayor” of Cedar Crest, was a 1958 graduate of Captain Jack Highschool. Wendell was custodian at the Huntingdon County Career and Technology Center where he also would substitute teach, was a member of the Newton Wayne Sportsman Club, served on the West Wayne Sewer Authority, enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, going to Potter County as well as Jack’s Mountain family camps, and riding on his side by side with his Pomeranian dog, Jack. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 11a.m. until time of service at 1p.m. officiant, Pastor Adam Shawver.  Interment will follow in Haven Rest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Newton Wayne Sportsman Club, contributions can be mailed to Stanley Reck 144 Pin Oak Lane Mount Union, PA 17066. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
