Vinglas, Virginia M., 94, Cresson, died peacefully at home, in the care of her daughter, Claudia, on Oct. 28, 2017. Born Jan. 17, 1923, in Sankertown. Preceded in death by mother and step-father, Marie (Bruce) and Francis McGarry; husband, John; sons, Richard, Gary and William; and canine companion, Patches. Survived by children: Claudia Stitko (Gary), Gallitzin; and Thomas (Donna Schenk), Clearfield; daughter-in-law, Mary (Mulhern) Vinglas, Warminster; grandchildren: Jonathan, Jason, Tammy, Tommy, Billy, Kathy, Colleen, Sandy and Jimmy; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and canine companion, Bandit. Member of St. Aloysius Parish, Cresson, and auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary. Virginia loved bingo, bus trips to casinos, and shopping. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where Legion of Mary will recite the rosary at 3 p.m., followed by vigil for the deceased. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Aloysius Church, Rev. Leo Arnone. Committal, church cemetery. www.cmkennedyfh.com
