Violet L. Garman

Garman, Violet L. (Cypher), 92, Mill Creek, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Embassy at Woodland Park, Orbisonia. Born August 2, 1931, Mount Union, daughter of the late Eugene and Jennie (Wiser) Cypher. Preceded in death by her husband, Harold R. Garman, whom she married on August 21, 1953. Also preceding her in death are a grandson, Ethan; and a brother, Calvin Cypher. Survived by her sons, Robert Garman and wife, Debra; and Michael Garman and wife, Brenda; 3 grandchildren, James, Samuel and Jeremy Garman; and 1 great grandchild, Coleson; siblings, Angeline Isenberg, Dean Cypher, and Virgil Cypher. Mrs. Garman was a dual member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Allensville since 1954 and a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Mount Union since 2012. She was a council member of her church for many years.  She was a 1949 graduate of Mount Union High School with high honors. She also attended the Huntingdon Secretarial School and took college credits at Juniata College. Mrs. Garman was employed by the Commonwealth with the Department of Public Assistance. She was a life member of the Standing Stone Senior Citizens. Mrs. Garman enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, reading, listening to good music, watching game shows and flowers. Family and friends will be received on Friday February 2, 2024, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, Pastor Buddy Baird, officiant. A private interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery, Mill Creek. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
