Tyrone M. Posey

Posey, Tyrone M., 70, Mount Union, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 14, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born July 4, 1952, Mount Union, son of the late McKinley Holmes and Ada Belle Posey. Survived by children, Carissa Martin Ticconi and husband Louis Brandon, Florida; Adalee Martin Jones and husband Derek, Harrisburg, PA; RosAnn Posey, Florida; siblings, Dennis Posey and wife Diana Martinez; Alonzo Posey; Rane’ Posey and wife Joyce; grandchildren, Gavin Martin, Tamya Ticconi, Larenzo Ticconi, Adrian Jones and Caleb Posey, great-grandson, Maddox Martin; and several nieces and cousins. Preceded in death by sister, Jacqueline Boone-Posey; and brother, Douglas Posey. He was known to be a great athlete in high school, having graduated in 1970. Tyrone began his career working at Penelec Generating Plant in Williamsburg around 1978 until it closed and then was hired in 1988 as a lineman in Huntingdon until he retired in 2012.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and loved taking care of his yard. Family and Friends will be received Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m., at the funeral home, Reverend Bernard Carpenter and Pastor Rane’ Posey officiants.
