Muriceak, Thomas W., 84, Cresson, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at his home. Born July 3, 1937 in Lilly, son of the late Francis and Lucy (Krawick) Muriceak. Preceded in death by his wife, Margaret “Peggy” (Benedict); daughter, Shari Zeiders; and brothers, James, William and Raymond Muriceak. Survived by his life partner, Patricia “Trish” Eckenrode; daughter, Michele Swab and husband Shawn; Gregory Eckenrode; Stephanie Howard and husband Eric; and 10 grandchildren: Alexandra, Courtney, Delaney, Jadian, Jordan, Justin, Emma, James, Lily and Alex. Thomas received his bachelor’s degree and played collegiate basketball at St. Francis University. He was a US Army veteran and retired from UPS as a supervisor. Thomas was a member of the Mechanicsburg Men’s Club, Slavish Citizens Club and the Cresson American Legion Post 238. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and hunter. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Friends and family will be received Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 4-7 p.m., Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 233 Keystone Ave., Cresson. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, December 13, 2021 at 11 a.m., St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Rev. Leo Arnone celebrant. Military Honors will be provided by the Cresson American Legion and other local military organizations. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or cancer.org.
