Obituary

Thelma J. Davis, 94, of Huntingdon, formerly of Alexandria, went to be with the Lord April 20, 2026. Born December 16, 1931, in Gallitzin, the daughter of the late Chance L. and Esther R. (Blankenbaker) Watson. Her husband, Richard H. Davis, Sr., preceded her in death on October 7, 2023. She is survived by children, Judith E. Davis and partner Edward L. Price, Huntingdon; Richard H. Davis, Jr. and wife Lori, Brookfield, Massachusetts; LeeAnn Burish and husband Thomas, Bradenton, Florida; Kevin W. Davis and wife Tina, Alexandria; eight grandchildren, Terri McCorkle and husband, Dan; Brent Arnold and wife Leah; Krista Goodman and husband, John; Susan Collette and husband, Rob; Richard H. Davis III and wife, Christina; Travis Showalter and wife, Jennifer; Todd Davis and wife, Olivia; Bradley Davis and wife, Jill. 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; sister, Donna Eberle; and many nieces and nephews. Thelma was a member of the Juniata Valley High School Class of 1949. She was a member of the First English Lutheran Church of Tyrone. She retired from the Area Agency on Aging as a meal site manager. During her life she also worked for Juniata Valley School District as a teacher’s aide, and Petersburg Transformer Corp. Thelma enjoyed her home especially when it was full of family, especially the grandchildren. She liked to cook for her family and sure everyone was well fed. Family and friends will be received Monday, April 27, 2026, from 10:00 until time of service at 11:00 at the First English Church, 17 W. 13th Street, Tyrone. Rev. Dr. Peter Naschke, officiant. Inurnment will be held at the Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Juniata Valley Educational Trust, 7775 Juniata Valley Pike, Alexandria, PA 16611.
