Stella M. Los

Los, Stella M., 89, Formerly of Mount Union, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Elmcroft Senior Living Center in Reedsville. Born on September 1, 1931, Mount Union, daughter of the late Andrew and Annie (Chrowska) Los. Preceded in death by brothers, John Losh, Michael Los, Louis Los and Joseph Los. Survived by her sister,  Sophie Semla, McVeytown; 10 nieces and nephews, Michael Losh and wife, Renee, Michigan; Sarah Vrundy, Ohio; Mary Foreman and husband, Mike, Ohio; George Losh and wife, Sandi, Indiana; John Los and wife, Kathy, Huntingdon; Paul Los and wife Darla, Mifflinburg; David Los, Huntingdon; Michael Los and wife, Deborah, Colorado; Teresa Mykut and husband, Peter, Huntingdon; and Anna “Cookie” Semla, Lewistown; 18 great nieces and nephews; one of which acted as her caregiver, Cathy Bitting; 23 great-great nieces and nephews and 1 great-great-great niece. Stella graduated from Captain Jack High School in 1950.  Stella worked for Bell Telephone earlier in life and retired from The First National Bank.  Stella was a devout Catholic and member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church & a member of The Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. Stella loved swimming at the Mount Union Country Club and enjoyed going dancing in her younger years. Family and friends will be received on Saturday October 17 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the funeral home with a funeral mass to follow at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Mount Union, Father Joseph Fleming, officiant. Interment to follow at St. Catherine’s cemetery, Shirleysburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 203 W Market St, Mount Union, PA  17066.
