Shirley Louise (Corbin) Yocum went to be with the Lord on Monday May 18, 2026, at Embassy of Woodland Park in Orbisonia, PA surrounded by her children. Shirley was born on November 16, 1935, in Mapleton Depot, PA. She was the youngest of three girls born to the late Roy A. Corbin and Elsie Pearl (Heaster) Corbin. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Richard Yocum, and sisters, Twila Lynn and Maxine (Scenie) Cramer. She is survived by her children Richard Yocum of State College, PA, Karen Yocum of Mapleton, and Julia (Richard) Mottesheard of Sparta, TN, and nieces and nephews. Shirley graduated from Captain Jack High School in Mt. Union. She worked at Walt Wible’s Store in Mapleton, G.C. Murphy’s in Huntingdon, The Maple Leaf in Mapleton, Handy Market/Uni-Mart in Mapleton, and Star-Brite Services in Williamsburg. She was a lifetime member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Mapleton. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family playing Canasta, watching movies, and old TV Westerns. She loved watching her stories, The Price Is Right, the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. She also loved ice cream, being outside, and bird watching. Singing was one of her favorite things, and she loved to sing along with Roy Rogers songs (including yodeling) and music by Alan Jackson, Charley Pride, George Strait, Rhonda Vincent, and gospel music. She treasured her personally signed photo of Roy Rogers and Trigger. “Happy Trails” Shirley. Friends and family will be received Friday, May 22, 2026, from 9:00 – 11:00 with a service at 11:00 in the Heath-Anderson Funeral Home. Pastor Joe Barrett, officiant.
