Adams, Ann, 90, formerly of Cresson, passed away peacefully January 31, 2021 at the home of her daughter in Stafford, Va. She was born January 30, 1931, Cresson, daughter of Joseph L. and Regina (Sloan) Soisson. Surviving are children: Patricia (Lawrence) Durkin, Dewey (Suzanne), William “Bill” (Karen), Susan (Keith) Wilson, Carol (Peter) Stolarski, Timothy (Jodi), and Lynn (Craig) Vinglish; grandchildren: Brian (Tiffany), Michael, Kevin (Anna), and Lauren Durkin; Benjamin (Annie), Matthew (Briana), and Jacqueline (Jason Connolly) Adams; Nicholas (Jessica) and Samuel Adams, Alec and Luc Charoenthep; USCG PO Taylor (Kristen), Tanner (Ashley), Trena (fiancé Sammy Smith) and Trenton Wilson; Nathaniel (Lindsey) and Tara Stolarski; Carlynn, Aubry, and Quinn Adams; and Katelyn (Justin Myers), Marissa, and Brody Vinglish; 14 great-grandchildren; sister Jeanne Vicini, brother, Mark Soisson (Joline), sisters-in-law, Ann Soisson, Teresa Adams; and brother-in-law, Bill Adams (Linda). Ann was preceded in death by her husband, John C. “Charlie” Adams; and brothers, Paul and Howard “Jim” Soisson. Ann was a 1948 graduate of Cresson High School. After graduating from Carlow College she embarked on a thirty-year career with Penn Cambria, first teaching home economics and then second grade. Ann was a loving wife and mother who cared selflessly for her family. In partnership with her devoted husband, she created a loving home and later welcomed the many people who joined their family. The Christmas season was her favorite time of year and her annual Christmas party is legendary. Ann was a member of Saint Francis Xavier Church, Cresson and a life member of the Sankertown VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Ann’s family is extremely grateful to the family of Susan and Keith Wilson and caregiver Jacqulyn Burner who provided Ann with the most wonderful care during her multi-year struggle with Multiple System Atrophy. Ann’s friends are invited to join her family in a celebration of her life Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 5-8 p.m., Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cresson. Mass of Resurrection will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 4, 2021, St. Francis Xavier Church, Cresson, Rev. Leo Arnone and Msgr. Stanley Carson concelebrants. At these events your diligence in distancing and masking to protect yourself and others is greatly appreciated.
