Olbert, Shane Michael, 36, Gallitzin, passed away September 29, 2018 surrounded by his family at Good Samaritan Hospital, Johnstown. Born June 27, 1982, Altoona, son of William “Bill” Olbert and Kimberly Olbert. Preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Hugh and Rosalyn O’Neill; and paternal grandparents, Ernest and Alice Olbert. Left to continue the celebration of his life are his mother, Kimberly and Dan Mckaig, Six Mile; brother, Joshua Olbert and Jessica Keith, Gallitzin; sisters, Kayla and Ed Nihart, Carrolltown; Amber and Mike Kelley, St. Benedict; nephews, Anthony, Dillon, Jeremiah, Bryson, Seth, Joshua, Axel, Brendon, William “Billy”, Trevor, and Hunter; nieces, Patricia, Bristol, Brylee, Destiny, and Georgia. Never has there been a person who loved life more than Shane. He was able to find the good in everything and everybody. Anyone who had ever crossed paths with Shane could not help but to love him. He taught us it was okay to be different, to let the world see you as you are, and how to love unconditionally. Shane will be forever missed, but his memory will remain strong forever by his family and friends, and the love they carry in their hearts.
