Hancock, Scott Thomas, 61, Mount Union died November 18, 2023.  Born March 6, 1962, Altoona, son of the late Thomas L. Hancock, Elaine Myers Stevens, and stepfather Harold “Buck” Stevens. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Tone and Edith Hancock and Clair and Ruth Prough.  Scott is survived by two sons, Caleb French, McVeytown, and Braden Hancock, Shade Gap; siblings, Terri and Lisa Hancock of Mount Union, Todd Hancock wife Linda of Shade Gap, Mike Hancock wife Denise, and Toney Hancock of McVeytown. Scott served in the United States Air Force from 1981 until 1985 and was stationed in Bamberg Germany and Malmstrom Air Force base in Montana having served in air base ground defense special forces. He was a lover of all things outdoors and all animals. He loved his cat Dolly and tending to his bird friends. Scott loved music and was also an amazing guitar player. Scott was above all loving and understanding. He was a gentle, caring, and conscientious soul. Full of life and empathy. He will be missed greatly by those whom were graced by his presence. All services will be privately held at the convenience of his family.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
