Sarah E. Marshall

Marshall, Sarah E., 83, Mount Union, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 19, 2020 at the home of her daughter Cindy Robinson. Born September 25, 1937, in McConnellstown, she was the daughter of the late Jacob E. and Mary (Lamberson) Bigelow. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard K. Marshall; sister, Jean M. Bigelow; brother, Bob Bigelow; and son-in-law, Terry Shope. Survived by three daughters, Cindy Robinson and husband, William, Mount Union; Cathy Shope, Huntingdon; Mary Ellen Reed and husband, Ted, McVeytown. Three grandchildren, Olivia Snyder and husband, Tim, Mount Union; Jeremy Snyder and wife, Dana, Mount Union; and Jared Snyder and wife, Marianne, Dillsburg. Sarah was fortunate to have three great-grandchildren: Colt, Riley, and Blake. She was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Mount Union and was a graduate of Captain Jack High School. Earlier in life, she worked for the GC Murphey Company and US Sports. After retiring, her joy was spending time with and getting to know the young adults and youth at her church. Sarah was always ready to give them a hug and loved all of them as her own. When her sister was alive, they enjoyed traveling, gardening, and shopping together. At Sarah’s request, there will be no viewing or funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Huntingdon County Humane Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E. Shirley St., Mount Union, “Honored Provider of Veterans Funeral Care™.” Condolences may be made at AndersonFamilyFuneralHomes.com.
