Sandra K. Drake, 84, of Shirleysburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 28, 2026, at Embassy of Woodland Park. Born December 15, 1941, daughter of the late William and Ella (Carl) McCartney, and stepmother Verna Grove. In addition to her parents, Sandra is preceded in death by her husband, John Drake; brothers, Robert McCartney, Tommy McCartney, Wayne McCartney; sister, Shelva Jean (Emory) McCartney-Lance, and niece, Brenda Wessels. Sandra is survived by her devoted niece, Amanda Kane, whose loving care, unwavering support, and selfless dedication brought her comfort throughout her life. Also surviving are nephew, Jack (Bailey) Wessels; brother, Mike McCartney; great-great- nephews, Rylan Kane, Roman Shade, Hudson Wessels, Ryatt Wessels; great-great-nieces, Gracelyn Kane, Avalyn Kane, Kaybrie Wessels; and beloved cousin, Pamela Crouse. Sandra had a passion for motorcycles and a love of classic fast cars, embracing every opportunity for excitement on the open road. A dedicated martial artist, she earned her fifth-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and found great joy in teaching and mentoring her students. She was also deeply committed to her community. She volunteered at Shirley Township School and was an active member of the PTO, always willing to lend a helping hand and support the children and families in her community. Friends and family will be received Friday, July 31, 2026, from 11:00 – 12:00 in the Heath-Anderson Funeral Home with a service at 12:00. Pastor David Ford, officiant.
