Ruth Weaver

Weaver, Ruth, 87, Cresson, died April 15, 2015, at home. Born May 17, 1927, in Sankertown, daughter of the late Francis and Christina (McGuire) Wisk. Preceded in death by husband, Charles W. Weaver Sr.; sons, Gary and Wayne; brothers, Joseph, George, Thomas and Anthony; sister, Olean; and aunt, Dolores Adams. Survived by children: Charles W. Jr. "Chuck", Cresson; Don (Daisy), Connecticut; Criss (Kenneth) Snowberger, Ashville; Bonnie (Mark) Berry, Washington; Becky Kovach; and Kimberly (Lee) Luther, all of Cresson; daughters-in-law; Carla Weaver, Cresson; and Mary Weaver, North Carolina; 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. Sister of: her twin brother Robert, William, Irene, Clara and Charles, all of New Jersey; Michael, Maryland; and Stella, Gallitzin. Member of St. Francis Xavier Parish, Cresson; and life member of Sankertown V.F.W. auxiliary. Ruth loved her family and the Sunday family dinners. Her family meant everything to her, and her door was always open for them. She also loved to quilt. Family and friends received from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Church, Rev. Leo F. Arnone. Committal, church cemetery.
