Eckenrod, Russell E., 76, Cresson, passed away unexpectedly November 3, 2022 at his home. Born April 21, 1946, Cresson, son of Leroy P. and Mary (Cogan) Eckenrod. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leroy and Leonard Eckenrod; and sisters, Louise Eckenrod and Darlene Ruth. Survived by his loving wife, Monica A. (Novak); daughter, Debbie Miladinovich and husband Bob; grandchildren, Jessica Miladinovich; and Christopher Miladinovich and wife Lauren; sisters, Joyce O’Neill and husband Tim; and Charlotte Mix and husband Tom; brothers, Robert Eckenrod; George Eckenrod and wife Patty; Harold Eckenrod and wife Gloria; Clyde Eckenrod and wife Joyce; and Edward Eckenrod; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Russell was a veteran of the US Air Force where he earned the rank of staff sergeant. He retired from SCI Cresson as an IT Specialist. Russell was a member of the Cresson American Legion and was a former vice chairman of the Cresson Borough Municipal Authority. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed helping his neighbors with yard work and snow removal and helping anyone that had computer troubles. Most importantly, he cherished spending time with his family. Friends and family will be received Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 5-7 p.m., Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 233 Keystone Ave., Cresson, where military honors will be provided by the Cresson American Legion, Sankertown VFW, and other local military organizations at 7 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, “Honored Provider of Veterans Funeral Care™.” Condolences may be made at AndersonFamilyFuneralHomes.com
