With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Roxanne K. Scott, who passed away on July 28, 2026, in Rawlins, Wyoming, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 64 years old. Roxanne was born on December 20, 1961, in Huntingdon Pennsylvania. Roxanne graduated from Mount Union Area High School in 1979. Roxanne's career reflected her hardworking spirit and her caring nature. Her work took her to many places throughout the years. She proudly worked as a laborer with Union Local 1180, where she demonstrated the determination and work ethic that defined her life. Later, she found her true calling as a paraprofessional at Rawlins Middle School. There, she formed meaningful connections with the students she worked with every day. The children she cared for brought her immense joy, and she was deeply committed to encouraging, supporting, and believing in each one of them. The impact she made on their lives will be remembered long after her passing. She lived a life defined by love, laughter, strength and unwavering devotion to her family. Her warm heart, quick wit, and infectious sense of humor brought joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She had a remarkable ability to make people smile, even during life's most difficult moments. Above all else, Roxanne cherished her family. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Anthony Scott, and a loving mother to her two daughters, Ashley Beck and her husband Dennis, and Stephanie Patterson and her husband, Patrick. One of Roxanne's greatest joys was being "Grammy" to her beloved grandchildren, Tinsley Patterson and Bridger Patterson, who filled her heart with immeasurable pride and happiness. In addition to her husband, children and grandchildren, Roxanne is survived by Tammy Starr (sister) and her husband John, Jack Fortney Jr. (brother) and his wife Shelley, and Crystal Fortney (sister), Todd Fortney (step-brother), and Thad Fortney (step- brother). Roxanne is proceeded in death by Loretta Haulbrick (mother) and Jack Fortney (father). Roxanne was also a lifelong and passionate Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Whether celebrating a victory or standing by her team through a tough season, she never missed an opportunity to cheer them on. Her enthusiasm for the Steelers was just one of the many things that reflected her spirited and loyal personality. Her blood definitely ran black and gold. Roxanne leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, compassion, and laughter. Her family finds comfort in the countless memories they shared with her, from everyday conversations and family gatherings to the simple moments that became life's greatest treasures. A celebration of Roxanne's life will be held starting with a social hour at 10 AM on Friday, August 7th at the Casada Funeral Home in Rawlins, Wyoming with a service to follow at 11 AM. In her honor, those who knew and loved her are encouraged to spend time with family, share heartfelt moments, and cheer on the Pittsburgh Steelers - just as Roxanne would have done.
