Laney, Ronald R., 82, Cresson, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 7, 2024 at his home. Born October 13, 1941, Indiana Co., son of the late Arthur H. and Amanda M (Long) Laney. Preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Lou (Skidmore); daughter, Shari Laney; and grandson, Adam Fry; and 7 sisters and 4 brothers. Survived by his children, Julie (Andy) Sprang, Cindy (Mike) Kline, and Rick (Lacey) Laney; Debi (David) Billings and Wendy (Al) Bennett; grandchildren, Austin, Hunter, Makenzie and Sahara Kline; Christian and Daniel Sprang; Kristianna Fry and Tabitha Moore; sister, Ellen Kennedy; special friend, Shirley Boore; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ronald was a member of the Cresson Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. He enjoyed playing country and gospel music on various instruments, doing jam sessions and playing with the Cambria County Hymn Sing, collecting model antique cars, and telling stories about his trucking days. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
