Robert C. “Pete” Bowser, 82, Huntingdon, passed away on May 15, 2026. Born December 13, 1943, son of the late Ralph and Pearl (Skipper) Bowser. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Bowser, Ronald Bowser, and Richard Bowser, and his sisters, Kathleen Harris, Doris Dunkle, Zana Lee Thompson, and Carol Hatch. Pete is survived by his brother, Larry Bowser. Mr. Bowser is survived by his wife, Carmelita (Hillworth) Bowser; daughter, Elana (Wesley) Clapper; son, Christopher Bowser; stepdaughter, Tina (Brian) Snyder; grandsons, Patrick (Makayla) Clapper, Wyatt Bowser, Parker Bowser; granddaughters, Hunter Bowser, Emma Clapper; step-grandson, Jeremiah (Adriana) Snyder; step-granddaughter, Gwendolyn (Anthony) Christian; great-grandson, Lucas Clapper; step-great grandson, Chase Christian; step-great granddaughters, Paisley Christian, Oaklee Snyder. He worked for many years at Corbin Electric as an electrician, where he was known for his hard work, dedication, and willingness to help others. He also proudly served in maintenance at Youth Forestry Camp No. 3, where he formed many lasting friendships over the years. A man who truly enjoyed the outdoors and simple pleasures in life, he was an avid hunter and a proud member of the National Wild Turkey Federation. He enjoyed bowling with friends in the Holiday Bowl Bowling League in Huntingdon and spending time on the greens in the golf league at Standing Stone Golf Course. He was also a devoted NASCAR fan and could often be found relaxing while watching his favorite westerns. Above all else, he treasured time spent with his family and friends. His greatest joy came from being surrounded by those he loved, sharing stories, laughter, and making memories together. He also had a special place in his heart for his beloved dogs, Sassy and Sasha, whom he lovingly called his “favorite children”. They were faithful companions who brought him endless happiness. He will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, love of the outdoors, and deep love for his family, friends, and loyal companions. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chris Bowser Wheelin’ Sportsmen Hunt, Terrace Mountain Chapter, www.nwtf.org.
