Robert Bruce Hewitt

Hewitt, Robert Bruce “Bob”, 72, Mount Union, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday August 13, 2025, at home following an extended illness. Born May 15, 1953, Red Bank NJ, son of the late Burbon and Anne (Ernst) Hewitt. Survived by his friends and recovery family. Bob was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous and passed away clean and sober after over 28 years of sobriety. He graduated from Red Bank High School in 1972. Bob was self-employed as a painter. He spent 5 years recently working with Shelter Services in Lewistown. Bob enjoyed playing baseball and softball in his younger years. He will be remembered for his honest yet blunt personality and service to his community and AA family. At the request of Bob there will be no formal services. Inurnment to be at Germany Valley Cemetery, Shirleysburg. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
