Robert “Bob” Davis, 83, Shirleysburg, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday July 19, 2025, following a brief illness, at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pennsylvania. Born December 26, 1941, Philadelphia, son of the late James W. and Evelyn (Yingling) Davis. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy M. (Phillips) Davis, affectionately known as “Dolly”. Also preceded in death by grandchildren, Jayna Rachel-May Smith and Elijah Mark Davis; and a sister, Nancy Davis. Survived by children, Robert Davis, Jr. and wife Cathy, Lincoln University PA; Susan L. Smith and husband Daniel, Lincoln University PA; Richard L. Davis and wife Jessica; Thornton PA; Mark C. Davis and wife Andrea, Oxford PA; 21 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; siblings, James W. Davis and wife Kay, Nottingham PA; and John R. Davis and wife Mary, Landenberg PA; and a longtime friend and mentor, Pastor Mark J. Crocco and his wife Janie, Oley PA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bob was man of deep faith. He trusted in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and lived out that faith with humility, service, and love. He loved talking to everyone about his beloved wife, his family and his savior. Bob loved to be outdoors and hunt small game. He played softball in church leagues for many years and coached various baseball and softball teams. Most of all Bob loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on Thursday July 24, 2025, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m., at the funeral home, Pastor Mark Crocco, officiant. Interment to follow at Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg. All are invited to attend a “Celebration of Life” service which will be held on Saturday, August 9th at 11:00am at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church - 109 Gypsy Hill Rd, Landenberg, PA 19350.
