Thomas, Rita Margaret, 93, Ebensburg, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 14, 2025. Born June 30, 1932, Loretto, daughter of the late James and Bertha (Criste) Thomas. Also preceded in death by brothers, Eugene and Charles and her sister-in-law, Donna Thomas. She is survived by a niece, Carissa (Mike) Ringler; great-nephews, Alex (Koral), Aiden (Miranda); her exceptional caregivers, Earl, Louetta, Sally, Marg, and Linda; special cousins, Marty, Betty and Charlotte; and special neighbors. Rita was of strong Catholic faith and was a lifelong parishioner of St. Michael’s Basilica. She displayed great faith as a member of the Altar & Rosary Society and by helping with the Carmelite Nuns as a greeter. She also was a member of the Loretto Historical Society. Rita worked for many years as a secretary for Vale Wood Farms. In her free time she could be found putting puzzles together. At the convenience of the family, a mass will be held at a later date.
