Rita M. Rodgers

Rodgers, Rita M., 100, Munster Twp., went home to be with the Lord February 6, 2019 at her home. Born March 23, 1918, Munster Twp., daughter of the late John and Ruth (Bishop) Noel. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Rodgers; siblings, Geraldine Diehl-Nagle, Lucille Barton, Laverne Tracy, Mildred Duman, and Norma Rupp; son-in-law, George McCloskey; and special friend, Bernie Sieg. Survived by her children, Joyce McGough, Munster Twp.; Margaret McCloskey, NJ; Patty (Paul) Scanlan, Vinco; Bill Rodgers (Nadine), Lilly; MaryAnn (Greg) Clark, Blairsville; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 1 great-great grandchild to be born; and sisters, Jean O’Donnell, Ebensburg; and Mary Hoppel, VA. Rita was a gifted seamstress and cook. She enjoyed washing windows, cutting her grass on her John Deere tractor, dancing, and gardening, especially taking care of her flowers. Friends and family will be received Sunday, February 10, from 3-7 p.m. at Kennedy-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, February 11, 11 a.m., Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel, Loretto, Fr. John Byrnes, celebrant.
