Davis Sr., Richard H., 93, Huntingdon, formerly of Alexandria went home to be with the Lord October 7, 2023. Born December 10, 1929, Huntingdon, son of the late Harry L. and Rachel C. (Downing) Davis. Survived by his wife of 74 years, Thelma (Watson) Davis, whom he married on January 14, 1949, at the Petersburg Lutheran Parsonage. Also survived by, children, Judith Davis and partner, Edward Price, Huntingdon; Richard H. Davis Jr. and wife, Lori, Brookfield MA; LeeAnn Burish and husband, Thomas, Bradenton FL; Kevin W. Davis and wife, Tina, Alexandria; 8 grandchildren, Terri McCorkle and husband, Dan; Brent Arnold and wife, Leah; Krista Goodman and husband, John; Susan Collette and husband, Rob; Richard H. Davis III and wife, Christina; Travis Showalter and wife, Jennifer; Todd Davis and wife, Olivia; Bradley Davis and wife, Jill; sister, Barbara A. Clary, Hollidaysburg, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Richard was a proud graduate of Juniata Valley Class of 1948, the first class of the Juniata Valley School District. Richard proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of the First English Lutheran Church of Tyrone, life member of Alexandria Volunteer Fire Company, and a member of W.P. Spyker Legion Post 520. He retired from Agway Petroleum. After retirement he worked as a bus driver for Juniata Valley School District, For John R. Wald Company, and for Porter Township. He enjoyed gardening, especially his blueberry bushes, restoring antique tractors, making balsa wood airplanes, reading, and most of all spending time with family and friends. Family and friends will be received on Friday October 13, 2023, from 10am until the time of service at 11am, at the First English Lutheran Church, 17 W 13th St, Tyrone, PA 16686, Pastor Sharon Erb, officiant. A private inurnment will be held at the Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to UPMC Family Hospice of Altoona 20 Sheraton Dr, Altoona, PA 16601 or the Juniata Valley Education Trust P.O. Box 318 Alexandria, PA 16611. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
