Rexall H. Secrest, 81, of Mount Union, passed away on August 5, 2026, at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. Born February 7, 1945, son of the late Jackson and Bessie (Arnold) Secrest. In addition to his parents, Rexall is preceded in death by brothers, Gary Arnold, Richard Secrest, Charles Secrest, Rodney Mel Secrest; sisters, Jacqueline Moist, Nora Winfree, and Rosa Yocum. Mr. Secrest is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Kerstetter) Secrest; son, Derek (Amy) Secrest; daughter, Raquel (Joseph) Ernest; granddaughters, Alexis (Oziais) Secrest, Izabella Secrest; grandson, Ashton Ash; great-grandsons, Kylan Ash, and Coleson Ash. Mr. Secrest dedicated his career to teaching cosmetology at the Bedford Everett Career and Technology Center, where he inspired and mentored countless students through his passion for the profession. Outside of work, he found joy in dancing, listening to music, gardening, and planting flowers. Making connections with all the people he came into contact with was important to him. Above all else, he was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren. His love, guidance, sense of humor, and warm spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and former students. Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, Mount Union, Fr. Antony Sudherson, Celebrant.
