Rebecca “Becky” A. Mahute, 80, Duncansville, with hearts full of gratitude and sorrow we announce our beloved wife, mother and grandmother went home to be with the Lord September 24, 2026, at her home. Born July 15, 1946, Altoona, daughter of the late Wilfred G. and Dorothy M. (Noll) Eger. Preceded in death by her sister, Rosie Korzydlo; brother, Raymond “Bud” Eger; sister-in-law, Sandy Byrne; and brother-in-law, Bob Mahute. Survived by her loving husband, Ralph Mahute, Jr.; daughter, Leann (Brian) Keiper; grandchildren, Nicholas (Erin) Yarnish, Megan (Jeb Baker) Yarnish, Allison (Ben) Polando, Kaylena Heresco, Ivan Heresco, and Maxim Heresco; great-grandchildren, Tessa, Amelia, Leo, Laney, Rowan, Bayla, and Bennett; sisters, Sandra (Mike) Haschak, Joan Gallagher, Eileen (Doug) Fowler, and Stacy (Russ) Frank; brother-in-law, Bob Byrne; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special cat, Cheese-it. Becky was a graduate of Penn Cambria. She previously worked for Stagers Chevrolet, Frank Calandra Inc., U.S. Foods, and retired from Altoona Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center. Becky enjoyed volunteering at her church. She cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Becky would end every visit or call by saying, “If you need anything, anything at all, call me” and she sincerely meant it. She fought for us, she loved us without condition and her fierce light will live on in every one of us. Friends and family will be received Thursday, October 1, 2026 from 5-8 p.m., Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cresson. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 2, 2026 at 10 a.m., St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 308 Old Rte 22, Duncansville, Rev. Jeremy Mohler celebrant. Burial will take place at St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery, Cresson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Penn Cambria Pink Panthers, 401 Linden Ave., Cresson, PA 16630.
