Parrish, Peter M., 83, resident of Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg, formerly of Cresson, went home to be with the Lord June 4, 2020. Born June 21, 1936, Cresson, son of the late Peter P. and Julia E. (Reilly) Parrish. Preceded in death by brothers, Jim and Michael Parrish; and brother-in-law, Joseph Peduzzi. Survived by sister, Mary Ann Peduzzi, Ebensburg; sisters-in-law, Kathy Parrish, Cresson; and Barbara Parrish, Harrisburg; and many nieces and nephews. Peter was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force stationed in France from 1956-1960. He retired from PennDot after 30 years of service. Member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, its choir and the Legion of Mary; and the Sankertown VFW Post 7377. Peter was known for singing the National Anthem at the Altoona Curve games. Friends and family will be received Wednesday, June 10, 2020 from 7-9 p.m. at Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 233 Keystone Ave., Cresson. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 10 a.m., St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Cresson, Rev. Leo Arnone celebrant. Interment and committal, St. Francis Xavier Church Cemetery, Cresson. Military honors provided by the Cresson American Legion and other local military posts. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
