Peggy M. Waite

Waite, Peggy M. (Park), 93, Huntingdon, passed away Friday September 8, 2023, at Westminster Woods, Huntingdon. She was the last surviving member of her family. Born May 27, 1930, Mapleton Depot, daughter of the late Chester and Florence (Miller) Park. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy M. Waite; and siblings, Chester Paul Park, Mary Querry, Beatrice Carson, Edwin Park, Betty Stever, H. Jesse Park, Maurice “Sonny” Park, Helen Glunt, Bill Park and Bob Park. Survived by children, Jane Luther and husband, Jon; and Wayne Waite and wife, Anna; 5 grandchildren, Jaynelle Covert and husband, Jason; Joseph Dell and wife, Renee; Charity Ellis and husband, Chris; Heather Eagle and husband, Garry; and Amy Banks and husband, Kevin; and 8 great grandchildren. Peggy was a charter member of the Calvary Independent Baptist Church of Saltillo. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Peggy enjoyed children and took part in the childcare of many local children. She liked cooking, crafts, blankets, canning, gardening and flowers. Family and friends will be received on Friday September 15, 2023, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m., at the Calvary Independent Baptist Church, 20258 Main St, Saltillo, PA 17253, Pastor Dan Long, officiant. Interment to follow at Cornelius Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Independent Baptist Church, 20258 Main St., Saltillo, PA 17253.
