Obituary

Link, Paul H., 93, Cresson, passed away Friday, November 24, 2023 at home surrounded by his family. Born January 25, 1930, Ebensburg, son of the late T. Gordon and Gladys (Yingling) Link. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Pheobe (Hines) Link; son-in-law, Tim Fincham; brothers, Thomas, Joseph and Pete Link. Survived by daughter Alisa Henrich and husband, Rick; and Amy Finchman; 5 grandchildren, Alexander (Erin), Michaela (Phillip), Oliva (Samuel), Suzanne, Morgan (Eli); 5 great-grandchildren; special friends, Catherine Iapalucci and Alice Lee; and caregivers, Michelle Casado, Alyssa Delegram and Yvonne Galan. Paul was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War where he earned the rank of staff sergeant. While in the Air Force, he served as a clerk typist, tele typist and administrative supervisor. He received the Korean Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. After his time in the service, Paul went to the State Teachers College in Shippensburg, where he received his bachelors of science degree in Education in 1961. He then received his master’s degree in education from the Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. Paul started his teaching career at Cresson Joint High School. He taught typing, shorthand and business English. While teaching at Penn Cambria, he served as the senior class advisor, FBLA advisor and the athletic director. After 35 and a half years of teaching at Penn Cambria High School, he retired in 1993. He also taught keyboarding at Mt. Aloysius Junior College. Friends and family will be received Monday, November 27, 2023 from 3-7 p.m., Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 233 Keystone Ave. Cresson. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 11 a.m., St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Rev. Leo Arnone celebrant. Private burial St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery.
