Paul T. Homerich Jr

Homerich, Paul T. Jr., 89, Cresson, died July 8, 2015, at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home. Born January 8, 1926, in Lilly, son of the late Paul T. Sr. and Emma (Hooder) Homerich. Preceded in death by wife, Marian (Ansman) on July 18, 2006, brother, John, ans sisters, Emma Foust and Helen Leja. Survived by daughters: Paula Biseli (David), Altoona; Mary Sanders (Ray), Portage; Cathy Garlick (Rich), Portage; and granddaughter, Marla Ann Sanders, Pittsburgh. Also survived by siblings: Julie Hudak, Jamestown; Ann Mardula, Lilly; George, New Cumberland; and Charles, Cresson; also nieces and nephews. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, and Army veteran of the Korean War. Worked as a butcher at various area grocery stores, retiring from Sprankle's, Portage, in 2010 at the age of 84. Life member and past commander of Lilly American Legion, Post 628. Member of St. Francis Xavier Parish, Cresson. Paul loved his seven granddogs, gardening and swinging on the porch. Friends received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Church, Rev. Leo F. Arnone. Entombment, church mausoleum. Military graveside rite by Lilly American Legion.
