Patsy J. (Prough) Price

Patsy J. (Prough) Price, 86, of 14033 2nd Street, Mount Union, passed away Saturday June 26, 2021, at Penn Highlands in Huntingdon. Born January 17, 1935, in Mount Union, she was the daughter of Ebert E. and Grace L. (Rider) Prough. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Samuel D. Price (November 4th, 2020) and son, Michael Price (May 31st, 2018). Patsy is survived by her daughter, Melinda Salter and husband, Harry, Huntingdon; and granddaughter, Amanda Salter, Harrisburg.

Patsy was a 1952 graduate of Captain Jack High School in Mount Union, Pa. She worked at both the Arrow Shirt Factory and Huntingdon Apparel. Patsy dedicated most of her life as a homemaker, mother, and grandmother. She was involved with the Allenport United Methodist Church for many years and taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, and baking. She will be remembered for her delicious pies. Patsy was also fond of her two “granddogs”, Izzy and Baelee. Most of all, Patsy cherished her time with family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at the Funeral Home, Joe Barrett, officiant. Memorial contributions may be made to the Huntingdon County Humane Society, 11371 School House Hollow Rd, Huntingdon, PA 16652.
