Panzy J. Fortney

Fortney, Panzy J., 68, Mount Union, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday July 27, 2023. Born May 16, 1955, Sunbury, daughter of the late Gene Ward and Marie (Blanchard) Kauffman. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack I. Fortney Sr. and by an infant son, a brother, Roger Ward, and by her sister, Gene Yvonne Ward.  Survived by her two sons; Thad A. Fortney wife Yolonda of Mount Union and Todd A. Fortney of Huntingdon; stepchildren, Roxanne Scott husband Anthony of Montana, Tammy Starr husband John Sr. of Mount Union, Jack Fortney Jr. wife Shelley of Mount Union, and Crystal Fortney of Mount Union. Panzy is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Ashley Beck, Stephanie Patterson, John Starr Jr., Eric Starr, Joshua Fortney, Kayla Gutshall, Isabella Fortney, Sofia Fortney, Mason Dimoff, and Max Fortney; 7 great grandchildren.  Panzy was a 1973 graduate of Mount Union Area High School and former employee at Warnaco Huntingdon. She enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, reading, Sudoku puzzles, playing games on her tablet, and spending time with her family. Panzy was of the United Methodist faith.  At Panzy’s prior request, all services will be held privately. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
