Norman Edwin Horne, 85, of Mount Union, PA, passed from this life on Friday, March 13, 2026, after a recent diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Born on December 9, 1940, in Dublin Township, Huntingdon County, PA, he was the son of the late Richard P. and Mary S. (McMullen) Horne. Norman is survived by his wife, Wanda J. Horne and two sons; Michael T. Horne (Staci) of Bangor, PA, and James R. Horne (Rebekah) of Farmington, PA; seven grandchildren, Noah, Evan, Liam, Ryah, Katie (Caleb), Josiah (Ellie) and Samuel, as well as two great- grandchildren, Judah and Zebulun, with another to be born soon. Also surviving are one brother, Donald E. Horne; two sisters-in-law, Ella Grace Smith and Barbara Welch; one brother-in-law, Benny Welch; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by seven brothers; Chester Horne, Russell Horne, Charles Horne, Raymond Horne, Clyde Horne, Clarence Horne and Earl D. Horne; three sisters, Hazel Horne, Stella Scott, and Lena Shields; two great-grandchildren, Stephen and Cassidy Cox. He faithfully attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Orbisonia, PA. During his lifetime, Norman worked for Henkels & McCoy and was a lineman for United Telephone (Sprint) of Mifflintown. He was retired for 28 years. He loved farming, hunting, attending auctions, and enjoyed talking and spending time with family and friends. He never knew a stranger. A Visitation will be held at Heath-Anderson Funeral Home in Mount Union, PA, on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 10:00-11:30. A graveside committal service will follow at 12:00 at Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his honor can be made to the Church of God of Prophecy, 354 Cromwell Street, Orbisonia, PA, or to The Church of God Tabernacle Fund Cleveland, TN (P. O.
