Nora J. Grissinger

Grissinger, Nora J. (Brown), 89, Orbisonia, passed away Saturday November 25, 2023, at home. Born July 3, 1934, Huntingdon, daughter of the late Janvier L. and Muriel A. (Fraker) Brown. Preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Grissinger, whom she married on September 4, 1954. Also preceding her in death are a grandson, Justin Locke and a sister, Betty Fleck. Survived by her children, Steven Grissinger and wife Karen, Orbisonia; Donna Locke and husband Gordon, Orbisonia; and Ruth Grissinger and fiancé Donald, Cassville; 4 grandchildren, Adam Locke and wife Amanda, Shippensburg; James Locke and fiancé Nikeisha, Orbisonia; Terry Radar and husband Matthew, Three Springs; and Tammy Martin and husband Ramon, Newburg; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Jane Brown, McConnellsburg.  Nora attended the Walnut Grove Church and most recently the Orbisonia United Methodist Church. She was trained as a Certified Nurses Aide and worked at the Fulton County Medical Center for 10 years and Penn Hall Menno Haven for 5 years. Nora was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed reading, eating out, and shopping at thrift stores. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family and friends. A private burial will take place at the Walnut Grove Cemetery, Three Springs.
