Nancy Lee Wertz

Wertz, Nancy Lee (Foust), 71, McVeytown, passed away Saturday October 28, 2023, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Born March 15, 1952, Lewistown, daughter of the late James and Elsie (Jenkins) Foust. Survived by her daughter, Tammy Wertz; special cousins, Annie Gartland and Susan Gaff; bonus daughter, Michele Gutshall; grandchildren, Jacquelyn Scott, Griffin Scott and Kendra Wertz; special friend Sha-Maaz; sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Nancy was a 1970 graduate of Mount Union Area High School. She attended the Mifflin County Career and Technology Center and received her LPN degree in 1979. Nancy worked in home nursing care for many years before retiring. She enjoyed taking evening rides with her family. Nancy loved animals, especially her dog, Lily and cats, Calli and Missy. Most of all Nancy loved spending time with her family. A celebration of life will be held later at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be at Matawanna Cemetery, McVeytown.
