Nancy D. (McCartney) Knable, 82, of Newton Hamilton passed away peacefully at home on May 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was born August 29, 1943, daughter of the late Wilber and Martha (Brenneman) McCartney. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Donald E. Knable, and siblings, Ronald, Donald, Robert, Carl, Wilbur, and Mary. Mrs. Knable is survived by daughters, Cindy Knable, Sherri Brought; grandsons, Alex (Tiffany) Boozel, Jordan (Sarahbeth) Brought, Garath (Haley) Brought, Malachi (Katelynd) Brought, Trace (Gabriell) Brought; granddaughter, Ashley (Dennis) Baker; great grandsons, Konnor, Maxwell, Carson, Kannon, Bowie, Phillip; great granddaughters, Aubrey, Kendall, Jordyn, Melody; brothers, Jack, Danny; sisters, Dolly, Connie, and Susie. She always looked forward to her outings with Nancy and Barb, her sisters-in-law. Bound by a shared love for shopping and dining out, the inseparable trio affectionately known as “The Three Amigos” had filled the recent years with endless warmth and shared laughter. She cherished the visits from her younger sister, Susie, who also treated her to a relaxing manicure. A talented seamstress and fixer of all things, she was known for being able to sew and repair just about anything. She was also an exceptional baker whose coconut cream pie and black walnut cake became favorites among family and friends. Her kitchen was always filled with warmth, love, and something delicious baking. Above all, she cherished her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who brought endless pride and happiness to her life. She enjoyed every moment spent with them, creating memories they will forever treasure. Friends and Family will be received Tuesday, May 26, 2026, for a service at 2:00 P.M. in the Heath-Anderson Funeral Home. Pastor Frank Menhart, Jr., officiant. Burial to follow at Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
